“ I was riding my bicycle down the Prairie Spirit Trail a few days ago when I noticed a sign at a road crossing for the Scipio Supper Club. Since I was on a two day out & back trip and needed dinner, I decided to Google them and was surprised to see the number of positive reviews (because it’s literally out in the middle of nowhere, miles from town) I was the first customer of the evening, sat at the bar and was welcomed by the staff and owner. The regulars started arriving and they were friendly and chatty, because I was clearly new there and was still wearing bicycle looking clothing. The owner told me about some of their scratch made food and I decided on a steak, potato wedges grilled in olive oil and their steak seasoning and a house salad with homemade blue cheese dressing. My ribeye steak came just how I ordered it and was seasoned nicely....no steak sauce required because it was seasoned right. So glad I saw that sign and decided to check this place out. And to think I was just going to find a burger somewhere! ”
